Camino Bakery

Camino Bakery is a bakery, coffee house and wine bar with three permanent locations in Winston-Salem: Downtown, Brookstown (this one) and Hospital (they're also at Cobblestone Farmers Market every Saturday morning between April and November).

Specializing in pastries, cakes and sandwiches, Camino Bakery is completely vegetarian and has great options for vegans. Depending on the day, you will usually find a vegan muffin on offer, as well as vegan cakes (chocolate!) and plenty of homemade bread. There is a vegan sandwich available every day of the week (like 'autumn mock "chicken" salad with cranberries, pecans & greens' or 'maple sriracha tempeh with butternut squash-cranberry-herb spread & greens') and vegan focaccia most days ('soy "chorizo", tomatillos, onions & jalapeno').

Camino Bakery's menu changes with the seasons and location, so it's worth asking what new vegan options are on offer when you visit. A lovely place for a relaxed lunch or a casual dinner, it's a good choice any day of the week!
