Café Desta is an omni Ethiopian restaurant in Tucson. Vegan dishes are listed on the menu and include the shorba soup (red lentil, carrots, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, orzo), kik (yellow split peas cooked with onion, turmeric and herbs) and kosta (finely minced spinach simmered with onion garlic and tomato). Vegan dishes can be served with injera (teff, sorghum and wheat flour pancake-like bread) or selata (garden salad with black pepper, lemon juice and olive oil). You can bring your own bottle (alcohol) free of charge.
