Rosetta's Kitchen is a whole-foods kitchen-café in downtown Asheville. Open since 2002, Rosetta's serves lunch, dinner, late night, and Sunday brunches and hosts Community Cauldron Sundays (during the winter months). Specializing in vegetarian and vegan soul foods, the Kitchen uses local, seasonal ingredients whenever possible.
The menu is wholesome and hearty, with vegan options clearly marked for easy ordering. Select from Munchies (check out the Vegan Queso Basket), Small Plates (including Tacos), Entrees (Buddha Bowl), Sandwiches (including the House Veggie Burger), Soups & Salads (vegan Slaw!) and a choice of sides known as 'The Staples'.
Rosetta's Kitchen also offers an 'Everybody Eats' meal, where you pay whatever you can afford for a plate of vegan food. The suggested price is a sliding scale between $2 and $6, but anything over $6 allows the Kitchen to 'pay it forward' so that others in the community may eat. This is a brilliant idea and a true example of the Rosetta's Kitchen community spirit.
Rosetta's Kitchen is a colorful space where all are welcome, and if you're anywhere near UNC Asheville campus then check out their sister café, Rosetta's Kitchenette.
