Tldr: i dont know how they have even a decent rating. their food is reheated hot garbage. Theyre customer service is pathetic. Te chef is unprofessional and is too invested in telling people how good he cooks vs. actually producing edible food. The chef is one of those guys that you say i dislike the food and he explains how hes been all over the world cooking and everyone loves his food. Not to mention wanted to fight me over my refund. The little short 40+ man has balls for picking fights with average sized humans but he cannot cook mildly decent food. 😬 Anyways, I happened to be in the area to twke my dog to te vet. Noticed there was an all vegan resturaunt close by that closed at 5. I always support restaurants that are all vegan in Colorado because its rare for there to be one in the first place (comparatively). To go order I ordered with an older white lady who seemed to be the owner, i got asteak sandwich, 3 breakfast burritos and a sweet roll, for me and my roommate. When i wanted to add something to my order I came back in and saw a really short man at the cutting boards preparing veggies, who rolled his eyes at me when i came in( probs cuz the grill is shut off at 4:30 and it was 4:11 when i finished my order.) That was the first red flag. The steak sandwich is literally a wet soggy thick hunk of seitan w what was meant to be breading that was already dissolved into the mayo. breakfast burritos were a trilogy of depressed soggy squished up looking burritos, with half raw potatoes soggy tofu and minimal salsa. Apparently the chef claims he double boils the potatoes 🤷🏽‍♂️. The sweet roll was at best healthy cafeteria food. AT BEST. I never finished what i ate my roomate ate one bite and left it on the table overnight. Their food was so bad my appetite was ruined the rest of te night. I usually never call to make returns on food but the next day i was still so disgusted that i spent 30$ on food i couldn’t even force myself to eat. That i decided to call before i left a review to see if they would resolve my issue w a refund or a replacement. They must get a lot f those calls, because all day they ignred their phone until i called for the 5th time before they closed. The chef answered, refused to pass the phone to a manager and when i told him i didnt enjoy the food. He started off by asking me if i was quote, ‘drunk or off some shit because the food he makes is really good and hes been cooking for a long time’ from there he continued arguing w me til he hung up. i called again pretty pissed off to finally speak to the owner. I am still unsure if she heard the goofy sh*t her chef was saying over the phone but she did offer me a refund and handle the conversation pretty well granted how mad i was at this point. I had to drive back down but i did get my refund. Saw the chef, he did the usual see me when im ff my shift bs... I say all ths because I want to encourage anyone living in Lakewood who enjoys even mildly decent food to go elsewhere for their vegan meals. Their food is a waste of money/time and my dogs wouldnt even eat the bullsh*t. If you read this far you deserve a good suggestion of resturaunts/food trucks. I would suggest vegan van, mu denver, madras cafe, or lterally anything else.
