Detroit Vegan Soul is a vegan soul food restaurant that serves delicious Southern-inspired cuisine using ingredients that are fresh, mostly organic, and completely plant-based.
They are 100% vegan and have a menu full of tasty dishes. These range from a selection of starters that include a black bean hummus and southern fried tofu bites, a choice of soups (for example, okra stew), salads and sandwiches, to a variety of main dishes such as 'catfish' tofu, seitan peppered steak and smothered tempeh. There are also a few side dishes to choose from including mac-n-cheese, collard greens, curried potato salad, candied yams, and coleslaw. All side dishes are also gluten-free. There is a dessert menu that varies daily as well as a Sunday brunch menu, a Sunday dinner menu and a kids menu.
The drinks menu offers sodas, smoothies, milkshakes, fresh pressed root juice (on Sundays), tea, and coffee.
They do not offer off-site catering at present however catering is available on a pick-up only basis, providing 72 hours advanced warning has been given.
