Ras Dashen Ethiopian Restaurant is an omni Ethiopian restaurant in Chicago. Vegan options are labeled on the menu and there is a wide choice available. Highlights include the telba shimbera misser wat (pureed chickpeas, split peas, and flaxseed in a dark Berbere sauce), Dupa Wat (pumpkin in a tasty Berbere stew) and Zenash's yellow beet salad (golden beets, grapes and other fruits, walnuts, a touch of vinegar and Zenash's special dressing). The restaurant also serves traditional Ethiopian coffee brewed in a clay pot called a Buna be Jebena.
