Carmen's Café

Carmen's Café serves Cuban-Spanish-American cuisine in a bistro setting and is open for breakfast and lunch on the weekends.

Winner of six Metroland Reader's Choice 2014 Awards, Carmen's is worth a visit if you're in the area. Although there are no vegan options specifically marked on the menu, it is possible to request a plant-based meal. From an online review:

"And the server said "just get the Cuban Eggs with no eggs and get the veggie hash!" So I said OK. I got a HUGE plate of black beans, rice, plantains, avocado, and a veggie hash cake. Everything was amazing!"
