Sanctuary Bistro

This place is in my neighborhood and I couldnt have been more excited they were opening. I went on the first night! And while I have eaten there probably a dozen times, it hasn't become quite the habit I hoped. The lunch "dilla" sandwiches are delicious, but so oily that I feel like napping afterward. In general, the food has more of that vegan decadence I had always dreamed of, but leaves me feeling heavy and not energized. I went for brunch once, and my plate of food came with items at vastly different temperatures. The beans were cold, as if they had been plated while the other components were still cooking--rookie manuever. Everything was delicious, however, so I am not giving up. I always give this feedback when I am there and hope the message gets through to the incredibly sweet owners. If you want a rich vegan meal with a very intimate bistro vibe, this is a great place.
