Wedge Issue, Shoreditch

2 stars is a little generous. The pizza was sitting on the counter on display ... but that’s actually the pizza you eat if you just want a slice. Not very hygenic(?) Also, this might be a one off, but, we waited aaaages (an hour perhaps) for our pizza. And the women serving constantly, loudly, complained about how bad the chef was. It was a really bizarre experience. She literally told everyone who came in that it was going to be ages because the “new chef is terrible”.... hmmm delicious. I actually felt bad for the chef. Who couldn’t seem to grasp the idea of “vegan” - there was a definite language barrier. The server kept saying “no, vegan, vegan, vegan” ... hardly fills you with confidence. When the pizza did finally come out it was so thick and chewy I felt bad for days. (There’s no base options) I dunno what to say really, I have a vegan bias but it’s hard to say a good word here.
