The Coup is a vegetarian restaurant committed to serving organic and local food. They recycle and only use paper products that are post-consumer recycled (their receipt paper is BPA and phenol free). To off-set their waste, they plant 36 trees a month through Tree-Canada. They use compost in their garden and they run on 100% wind-power. They donate a percentage of their income and have partnered with Meal Share, which means that every menu item with the Meal Share logo sold, a meal is provided for someone in need.
Most of their dishes can be made vegan and/or gluten-free. You could choose from falafel quesadillas, miso braised eggplant and mushroom croissants, tempeh shawarma, almond feta salads, and much more. They also offer a selection of desserts.
