Fresh Salt is located directly at the Connecticut River and has a spectacular view over the water. Although it is mainly a fish and seafood restaurant, there are also a few vegan options like the house-made black bean burger or a cauliflower steak. The food ingredients are fresh and seasonal coming from local farmers and markets. As the Fresh Salt is part of the belonging hotel Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, the restaurant is open all day and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has the main restaurant but also a cocktail lounge and an outdoor bar. Fresh Salt has gained popularity in 2016 as it has been named “The Best Sunday Brunch” by Connecticut Magazine. Because of this reservations are highly recommended.
