Dos Perros is a restaurant in Durham specializing in 'real Mexican cuisine'. It is known throughout the Triangle as one of Durham’s best vegetarian and vegan options, with numerous gluten-free offerings as well.
Dos Perros has a dedicated Vegan page on its website because 'traditional Mexican fare is significantly more plant-based than most Americans have come to recognize because of our “Tex-Mex” style cooking.' The restaurant is committed to offering at least one vegan entree every day and several of the appetizers are vegan simply by accident. In 2016, Dos Perros was awarded #1 Vegan Appetizer in the Bull City Vegan Chef Challenge!
