Sea DandeLion Cafe & Awa Bar

Sea DandeLion Cafe & Awa Bar is a family-run vegetarian café serving a seasonal menu of which 95% of ingredients are sourced from the Hawaiian islands. They serve fresh 'awa, a Hawaiian drink made from plant root.

They offer gluten-free options including bread buns (containing a mixture of old-world grains including teff and buckwheat) for their sandwiches and sliders. Their vegan options include a seasoned taro quinoa burger, a banana mac-nutta sandwich, tomato, beet and ginger soup, and various salads and smoothies (ask for no honey). Their desserts include a vegan ice cream sandwich and a choc-chip mac-nut cookie.

They hold various events including an Ecstatic Dance free-form movement with DJs. You can also find them at Mauna Lani Farmers Market on Tuesday afternoons and Hamakua Harvest Honoka'a Farmers Market from 09:00-14:00 on Sundays.
