The Guardhouse Café is on a site where a fort was built to defend England from Napoleon at the very beginning of the 19th century. Nowadays, the locale is a lot more serene and you can simply gaze out to sea with a meal or a cup of tea. The menu changes every couple of months, but there are always vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Hot and cold drinks are also on the menu, including alcoholic beverages.
