Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine specializes in authentic vegan fare ranging from savory stews to a feast of vegetables, grains, juices, teas, cakes and Ethiopia's injera bread. It has previously been voted "Best Ethnic Vegan Cusine" by Los Angeles Magazine. Instead of using mock meats, Rahel uses split lentils, chickpeas, zucchini, string beans and other vegetables slow cooked alongside special blends of spices.
You can choose from a variety of stews (wots) or one of their special combination dishes where you can try a bit of everything. The veggie paradise special includes 9 items; split lentil stew, vegetable stew, split-pea stew, string beans mixed with carrots, zucchini stew, greens, chopped tomatoes mixed with onion and jalapeno, sunflower mixed with injera and Ethiopian salad.
