We wanted to find an independent cafe which catered for me (vegan and gluten free) my hubby (omnivore) and would take dogs. We were not disappointed with The Handle Bar. My hubby had the lamb steak which he said was delicious and I had the puy lentil and beetroot burger (they swapped the burger bun for gluten free bread). It was so nice to have a really tasty burger that wasn't pretending to be meat. It was snowing on and off the day we visited Oxford, so we nipped back in for tea and cake to warm up and avoid a snow shower! The banana and chocolate brownie (vegan and gluten free) and rhubarb and rosemary cake hit the spot, along with a very good chai masala (I had oat milk chai latte at lunch which was lovely). I would suggest you make an effort to visit The Handle Bar🚲
