Comic Girl Coffee & Books is an inclusive space for marginalized communities offering locally-roasted coffee and books featuring positive minority characters. It is an anti-capitalist space that uses capitalism to support community building events and activism to combat the negativity of the current system.
Their goal is to make the space accessible to people of every income. A person with no money can use their "Pay It Forward" board to buy anything in the store. They also keep a selection of "Pay What you Want" books which are donated. 10% of their profits go to Trans.formation House, a healing space for homeless transgender people.
All food and drinks are vegan. On weekends they offer brunches that have included tofu sloppy joes, breakfast bowls, cinnamon buns, and blueberry crumble, with free fruit and bread with every purchase.
