The Hive Café & Bakery

The Hive Café & Bakery is a social enterprise project that provides healthy food and work experience opportunities to students from Argent College located next door. Argent College is an education and community centre where 16 to 25 year olds with special educational needs, principally Asperger's syndrome, can learn a trade while developing personal and social skills.

The café and bakery serves breakfast and lunch dishes made using organic and biodynamic ingredients. Their seasonal menu changes every day and is healthy, affordable and mostly vegetarian. Vegan options are always available and have included salads, sun-dried tomato hummus, fried polenta and sumac cakes, Indian red lentil and coconut soup jacket potatoes and leek, artichoke and oregano pasta bake.

They also have their very own rooftop micro-farm that also supplies to Argent College, Moseley Farmers' Market, the public and local businesses.
