The George & Dragon is a country estate inn with a restaurant, bar and bedrooms. Their produce comes from the owner's family estate, right on its doorstep, where food has been produced for more than 800 years. They grow as much of their own produce as possible at their gardens and surrounding fields at Askham Hall. The rest of the fresh, seasonal produce they use is sourced from local suppliers within about 20 miles of the pub.
They offer seasonal vegan and gluten-free menus that change monthly. Vegan dishes have included burgers, tempura vegetables and crumble with almond milk custard.
